If you could use a bit of tender loving care, find some time to create a spa day at home. These simple spa day recipes are easy to make with natural ingredients you can find at the local grocery store. You even may be able to find the ingredients are already in your pantry.

Here are a few easy recipes for a DIY spa day at home:

Make Refreshing Drink

Add fresh fruit to your ice water to make a spa like refreshing drink and home. Staying hydrated in the summer heat is important. Mix these fresh fruits in a pitcher of cold water and sip away as you relax for your spa day at home.

Consider these fresh flavor combinations:

  • Pineapple and Strawberry Slices
  • Cucumber and Watermelon Slices
  • Mint and Blackberries
  • Lime Slices and Coconut Water
  • Cranberries and Orange Slices
  • Blueberries and Green Apple Slices
  • Lemon Balm and Raspberries

You might consider creating some of your own flavor combinations using some of the foods on the list of “Immune Boosting Foods.”

Treat Your Face

The skin on your face deserves special attention. Your face gets touched often, exposed to sunlight, and can collect dirt, bacteria, and oils. Making a face mask can help your skin feel nourished and clean

Oatmeal Face Mask Recipe:

  • 1/3 cup of Green Tea (Hot)
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey
  • 1/3 Plain rolled oats (Blended) or oat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Chia Seeds

Mix together these ingredients and apply the thick mixture to your face while it is warm. Avoid getting the mixture in your eyes or nose. Once the mask has dried, rinse off your face with warm water and a cloth.

Soak Your Tired Feet

In a basin or container of warm water where you can soak your feet add the following ingredients and soak your feet while you relax comfortably

Foot Soak Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup of Epsom Salt
  • 2 cups of Mint Tea (warm)
  • juice from 1 Lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil

Energize Your Skin

Coffee grounds are excellent for exfoliation and can be used as a scrub in the shower for your face and body.

Coffee Shower Scrub Recipe:

Mix together these ingredients in a small container. Allow the mixture to cool completely, before applying generously to your skin as a scrub in the shower.

  • 1/2 cup of ground coffee
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • zest from 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted)
