Shopping for a Home
- The Loan Consultant refers you to an excellent Realtor
- A contract is written.
- Earnest money is paid to validate the contract.
- A home inspection is performed. (Not required but recommended unless conditioned by an underwriter)
- An appraisal is paid in advance to the lender or to the appraiser. (Appraisal Fees are pass through fees and by law are never to be “marked” up by the lender.)
- The mortgage rate gets locked.
