Shopping for a Home

  • The Loan Consultant refers you to an excellent Realtor
  • A contract is written.
  • Earnest money is paid to validate the contract.
  • A home inspection is performed. (Not required but recommended unless conditioned by an underwriter)
  • An appraisal is paid in advance to the lender or to the appraiser. (Appraisal Fees are pass through fees and by law are never to be “marked” up by the lender.)
  • The mortgage rate gets locked.
